The STRG format is used to store string tables. Each STRG file can contain any number of strings, as well as variations for different languages; the Prime series supports English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, and Japanese. The very first version of the STRG format, which appears in the Metroid Prime kiosk demo, does not have a magic value or a version number. The rest can be easily recognized with their magic value of 0x87654321.
- STRG (Metroid Prime Demo)
- STRG (Metroid Prime) covers Metroid Prime 1 and 2
- STRG (Metroid Prime 3) covers Metroid Prime 3 and Donkey Kong Country Returns
These are the possible version numbers:
Version | Game |
---|---|
N/A | Metroid Prime Kiosk Demo |
0 | Metroid Prime |
1 | Metroid Prime 2: Echoes |
3 | Metroid Prime 3: Corruption/Donkey Kong Country Returns |
